Getting a Job is difficult in this Pandemic... Networking and re-tooling may suffice
Lots of professionals are unemployed and can’t find jobs. @Priyanka Boardwarj wrote In LinkedIn saying:
“[I] need help and guidance, it is difficult to get jobs in this pandemic, I am trying to search job opportunity from last 3+ months but getting nothing except advertisement of bulk hiring, hiring in different profiles, etc. I am having over 7 years of experience still getting nothing. How to search for correct HR/Administration/Operations jobs?
I suggested to her and people in the same boat to think about starting your own business. Amazon has great opportunities. Or upgrade your skills and rebrand.
@Erin Fox-Ramirez agrees saying:I am in the same boat, I have been looking for months. I have had 2 offers that went away during COVID, and several jobs just close as well. Some things that have helped me get traction are working on my skills/certification, networking, and joining a local professional association. Udemy offers tons of reasonably priced courses if the more established courses are too $$ right now. I would also say opening up your search to related jobs as well would help. Best of luck, I know exactly how it feels. Stay positive!
Indeed, it is my opinion that When you think you fail try again. it’s all about networking. All the positions and opportunities I’ve had came from not my credentials and degrees but networking. So, Sure up your network. Build and expand your network. Write, engage social and professional media. Let people see you and don’t hide anything. By the way, I always tell my mentees and followers and staff and college students or potential “ don’t just get a degree when you go to college, get a core group of strong friends join a fraternity keep in touch with friends and build your network. Every job I have is from my network. You may want to start by exploring your network and the people you have in it. Socrates said the “unexamined life Is not worth living...” And also think about developing new skills and promoting yourself and ideas.
