Republicans are somewhat smart, but reckless. They water down progress only to vote against it and blame those who voted for it in order that they can win. How backward The republicans spread this propaganda that Obama's policies have hurt the economy, and some persons seem to accept this lie, playing on people's ignorance. But in fact it is the Republicans who have caused the slow economic recovery. They contend that his (Obama's) stimulus is a failure because it hasn't created jobs. But the fact is that the Obama administration and economists had warned that 787 billion dollars were not enough to effectively pump up the economy, because the recession was so severe. Yet it was the very republicans who lobbied against the economic response and are now saying the response failed.
