The World Now Has Two More Global Challenges:

The world now has two more global challenges: One is in #Europe - #Putin and #Russian aggression. Second is #China in Asia and their push to become the new #superpower.  That’s in  addition to the challenges of racism, inequality, injustice, extremism and global elitism.  (See The Neoliberal Round Podcast entitled “Ehi Rules America? on Apple, Anchor and Spotify @  Who Rules America...Corporations or China? On The NeoLiberal Podcast Season 2 Ep. 2  for opening arguments on this matter.) China and Russia are #socialist countries with a kind of totalitarian system of government. While the West is seeking to develop partnerships and to rule by neoliberal strategy which pivots to corporate greed that is not easily detected, the East (China and Russia) is still living in the past using past values of a world that used intimidation and aggression to realize its goal of world domination and control. So, the question of Who Rules #America becomes even broader to #Who Rules the World? We have s

Who Rules #America?

William Domhoff in 2010 suggested in his book “Who Rules America? Challenges to Corporate and Class Dominance” that it was Corporations and Charles Perrow in his book, “Organizing America: Wealth, Power And The Origins Of Corporate Capitalism man shows how American corporations are and became the dominant and overarching force/feature in America.  Today the question is: Who Rules Corporations, if they rule/d America?  China, which will be the focus of one of my research papers and project as I study Neoliberalism, Globalization, Income Inequality, Poverty And Resistance. The study will suggest China for reasons we must discuss and present in further detail why we have made or come to such an assertion.  Firstly, America’s political and economic system provides a salacious opportunity for China who is a totalitarian, so-called communist country with a State-Controlled economy and press. So, the ability to quickly and easily make decisions without dissection and to achieve go

Is It True That In Jamaica “…Only White People Can Access Certain Beaches and Places…?”

In #Jamaica “…only #whitepeople can access certain beaches and places #ochorios…” that’s what Lennie Linton is suggesting in his posted video via #Facebook. In his video, which is no longer available, he showed and argued that at one vacation location in Ocho Rios Jamaica there is a practice of not allowing Local Jamaicans on the property, only white people from abroad. He showed a panoramic view with his phone of the property where bunched of Jamaicans were barred outside while white visitors were being allowed in by the security forces which are in and juxtaposed to the property and suggest. Unfortunately, the phone video he provided didn’t suggest much except that he was frustrated that he couldn’t get admitted inside the beach while one or two other persons who happened to be white were inside. Nevertheless we will not take his assertions about discrimination and racism lightly as he felt as though and went as far as to provide a video record of a practise he believes is dis

What’s in an Image…Memories?

#Memories that’s #faded tells nothing of the present or the future, only soothes the unsettled soul for the moment within a glance. when the view is in reverse the reality of what is now to what is then sets in and you begin to feel even more perplexed!

ESPN First Take: Who had the more difficult path to greatness: MJ or LeBron?

KingJames has played in several eras & is still dominating. He’s an @nba #dinosaur who is still considered the #bestplayer in the #nba #sport. #MichaelJordan (#MJ) didn’t achieve that feet & no other player can say that. We argue that this era is soft. When did #softera begin? When did the #softera begin? Was it when KingJames started playing in the @nba? Was it after his 1st 5 years, or was it when he went to the @MiamiHEAT? Was it after he returned to @cavs? Was it when @KDTrey5 started or was it when @warriors became one of the greatest teams ever? we use #syllogism & #circularreasoning to come to a #subjective conclusion by applying a diluted definition of the #nba #eras that favors our predetermined conclusions. It’s the same method we use to conclude about #communism being bad & #capitalism being good #circularreasoning The conclusion or the answer is a subjective one for it is based on our feelings and therefore the weight we apply to the periods the

Schools #Teach #Students What to #Think Instead of How to Think

Lex Fridman asked via his #Linkedin page; "#Schools #Teach #Students What to #Think Instead of How to Think." I replied via LinkedIn: Some schools do teach that. I taught a course at Jamaica Theological Seminary called “Caribbean Thought”. It helps students to examine current thought, ideas, philosophies and structures critically; and provide a basis for the students to critique them, and to begin to develop their own way of doing critical and analytical thinking towards their own thought processes. If schools continue to tell students how to think, it is because schools have always done that in order to create, develop and maintain a particular kind of society that serves the #specialinterests or the few over the many. I am doing research Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies about the #Foundations of #westerncivilizations and am seeing how #privilege, #status, and #position take root and develop within societies. I have written about this and submitted papers a

"Can the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers Rely on James Harden to Make a Deep Playoff Push?"

Stephen A Smith had a discussion today on his show First Take entitled: Can the Sixers Rely on James Harden to Make a Deep Playoff Push? I believed the question was a bad one based on poor or borrowed analysis that lacks intense scrutiny. I replied saying: Can the Los Angeles Lakers rely on #RussellWestbrook ? The answer several months ago was yes. In fact, sports pundits were almost certain of a deep playoff run by the #Lakers once #Westbrook was added to the team, but is that the case now? well, there are doubts given what we have seen, but there are those who are still optimistic. So, when we look at the past, we have to now be careful about answering questions like those. Especially when we are dealing with older players who are injury prone. Further, #JamesHarden role is not the same here with the #sixers . Harden is coming in as a powerful support staff to help the Philadelphia 76ers big man #JoelEmbiid with #TobiasHarris and #TheFrachise ( #TyresseMaxey ) who is fast becoming

How should our neighbourhood get together?

How should our neighbourhood get together? Philadelphia is known as the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection. It was once seen as the bastion of hope for all peoples during slavery and up to 1958. Today with rising crimes, COVID, limited to no financial opportunities for the many who are more entrepreneurially driven; the hustle and bustle of Philly life is becoming untrue to its filial roots and strong social and community activism at the community level. Communities except for few Sunday worshippers or smaller gatherings of religious groups in their factions are more separate and apart with only smaller organisations that benefit from government funding. But where is the camaraderie and strong community and neighbourhood support programs and groups. People move in and out of communities incognito for everyone is about their own business so as to maximise individual satisfaction appealing to what Sigmund calls the “Id”. We are a Cosmetic society, driven by fear and COVID. The

The Integrity of Professional Sports Are in Jeopardy

The #integrity of professional #sports are in jeopardy especially for the National Football League (NFL) when a former Miami Dolphins   Coach revealed not just blatant #racisim by the #NFL but how teams in the background #fixmatches so that they deliberately lose games to get better #draftpicks .... Further, it speaks volumes about whether we can trust the #integrity of #betting if #sports teams are paying players or coaches to #tank games when people are betting one-way or the other. This is a serious matter that will affect all of sports and betting if not fixed. We will continue to follow the story....  when a former Miami Dolphins Coach revealed not just blatant #racisim by the #NFL but how teams in the background #fixmatches so that they deliberately loose games to get better #draftpicks .... Several States Are Removing Mask Mandates

#NEWS: #Question: Do #Masks prevent #Covid Infections? Answer: Yes; Do #vaccinations prevent covid #Infections? Answer: No… The #vaccines only minimize severe #symptoms leading to death. So why are #schools removing #maskmandates because more persons are vaccinated. Unless it’s more about the symptoms than the virus. But at one time we were shutting down schools because of the number of new infections and not because of the symptoms. So what’s the point here… what if removing masks in schools create another outbreak in schools. Are they gonna shut down schools and implement another mask mandate? That would be #nonsensical and pointless given the #argument about why we are removing the mandates now. It’s #circularreasoning or #logicalfallacy.

Auto Theft And Robberies Have Exploded In Philadelphia, And It’s Getting Worse While The City Does Nothing But Reveal Plan On Paper

This story was first published by Renaldo McKenzie in  LinkedIn 2022 has already started out on a low note for many people who are suffering from carjacking and robbery. The ABC Action 6 News Team Investigation reported recently that: there has been a rise in dealership auto theft in Philadelphia. According to the report, "there were more than 8,800 thefts reported in 2021 in Philadelphia. That's up from approximately 5,500 in 2020 and 1,900 in 2019" (Investigation into rise of dealership auto thefts during the pandemic in Philadelphia region - 6abc Philadelphia). However, Action 6 ABC News failed to see that the problem does not only reside at dealerships, its everywhere in the city. I reside in Philadelphia, which is becoming extremely violent, dangerous and difficult to reside. Last year Philadelphia had over 8000 stolen vehicles and over 750 carjackings. This year already, we are outpacing last year just three weeks into the year with over 150 carjackings or stolen ve

Death Is The Beginning of Life?

#Death is the beginning of #life for its in death, the unknown will be known & #truth will be told. For #platonic #philosophy that is the foundation of #westerntheology & #ideology, assumes that death is the ultimate…. For its in death we separate the material (#body) from our #immortalsouls and we recover all #memories lost and achieve philosophy that which is really true about what is. But is this true what Plato and our #western #faiths believe and preach. We will have to die & reborn to tell. But we can’t, for once we are reborn based on Platonic philosophy, we take on the material and lose all memory and then we have to start all over. So, in this life we can never realize what is true except through reason that is at best subjective and limited. We will have to take a step towards dying and coming back will not provide any clue since we take on body. Therefore, we will have to live a life of conjectures until we cross over but, in the meantime, practice this life of #

Racism, Ethnicity, Nationality, gender, religious affiliation, sexual orientation and some people's tendency to group people into race and categories is part of the strategy of control

Racism, Ethnicity, Nationality, gender, religious affiliation, sexual orientation and some people's tendency to group people into race and categories is part of the strategy of control. While the social issues were treated as an isolated problem on their own merits, all provided a kind of distraction that constantly put the masses against each other so as to protect the status quo and wealthy class who, as stated in my book "Neoliberalism, Globalization, Income Inequality Poverty and Resistance," have more in common than those of their race, ethnic groups, gender, nationality and religious affiliations. This is what I call in my book #globalelitism where those at the top form a global elitist core group across societies that make decision that affect all groups so as to protect and advance their club. The global elitist club trumps any club that they may be in and while some of these elites may be black, they may appear to identify with blacks and black issues, but this i
