Do all things without murmuring ... (Phil. 2:14) is a recipe for disaster and control
My cousin Winston Mckenzie quoted a biblical text on his #Facebook Page:
Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;Phil 2:14
In my response I stated:
Be careful how you interpret or do your exegesis of this periscope. When you share this biblical verse what are you saying. What does it mean to you when this text says: “ do all things without murmurings... “. I’d say yea do ... so long as what you’re being asked to do is honorable and valuable to you and you believe that God is glorified yes do it without murmuring. You see the author of the text said this assuming that the things you’re doing is just and profitable. What we should do all things but do what.. what we want to do or being told to do... what’s the pretext and context here?
@Winston Mckenzie replies:
When God has put us in a place of power and or in that Job that we applied for and we continue to murmur.. “ God you know this Job is to much work”. When that Job becomes to challenging we are to cry out and worship...
My response:
Winston Mckenzie God gives us wisdom to make decisions that benefit us and the conscience to discern what honors him. So maybe we need to find another job or
