“People” Are Talking About “Black On Black” “Crime” As If It Nullifies Any Conversation About The Issue Of Police Violence”!
“People” are talking about “black on black” “crime” as if it nullifies any conversation about or the issue of “police violence” on black lives. But, “brother killing brother “ has always been here since “God” made Cain and Able. And we get that, “brother killing brother” is bad and may seem antithetical or contradictory to BLM Activism. Nevertheless we must work equally as hard, to eradicate it.
But what’s worse or adds “insult to injury” is when those charged with upholding the law abrogate their duty and practice racial injustice. And We must truthfully confront our history of racial injustice before we can repair its painful legacy of police violence. Therefore, we must work even harder to abolish it.
Further and more importantly, Police violence and vigilante justice on black lives must stop because it affects police moral authority and reduces any currency and credibility they may have left to serve and protect all. In effect, creating lawlessness and disorder; setting the stage for “civil unrest” like those happening now across the Country.
Police must work to restore their credibility not by endorsing one political candidate over another and continuing the practice of demonizing those who are crying for Help and those who are calling for reform.
Our leaders must seek to rise above politicizing the issue and bring us together and help to heal those who are hurting and feeling helpless and victimized.
Our citizens should have faith in our leaders and police to be able to fix the problem not exacerbate it by taking sides and pointing figures on the other side. That defeats reform and needed change and create suspicions in the citizens mind about our leaders will to do anything meaningful to heal our land.
And as fellow Americans we must comfort the hurting and seek to understand the pain of each other by exploring the context and situations that effect such pain instead of casting aspersions of doubt and confusion of doubt that instills a feeling of helplessness in those who are suffering whose pain you have minimized as disillusionment and misplaced.
