News Just In: Jacob Blake No Longer in Shackles. Black Freedom Is Still Proving To Be An Illusion!
News Just In: Jacob Lake is no longer in Shackles. But why was an innocent paralyzed black man chained to his hospital bed in the first place? He was shot in the back several times for what? Appearing to be dangerous as he was getting into his car possibly to retrieve a weapon or he had a weapon the investigation is still pending. This sounds like “BS”. Which civil, decent and just society does that? This is draconian and insensitive to its core. It assumes guilt without the presumption of innocence. It proves Black Lives Don’t Matter. Is Jacob Blake not human? Is he not a “real American”?
Smh 🤦🏾♂️ is #Rittenhouse, the white 17 year old boy who killed 2 peaceful protesters, is he shackled? Why was #Blake in #shackles in the first place? But only to serve as a reminder that we think we are free but we are not. We can be shackled or reigned in at anytime. We are #Slaves. That’s what this is, where you put a wayward dog back on leach to tame him if he’s become too free & wayward. Is that what this is? After you shoot him in the back paralyzing him for no apparent reason, you shackle him to a bed. It wasn’t until Blake Sr. Interview on CNN where he revealed that his son was shackled to a bed that we became aware of it and it wasn’t until hours later that the shackles were removed. Such symbolism, that it is only when light is shed on black struggle that we become aware of it, yet it exists to the deliberate blind ignorance of society.
Jacob Blake laid paralyzed shackled to a bed. Is no coincidence. This was a symbol of the realities of Black people today that we are weak and yet bound and still enslaved to a plantocracy. Jacob’s chains served as a symbol utilized by our Masters to remind us that we can be controlled at anytime because we are still not free our freedom was and still is an illusion. Obama was just to pacify and appease or preclude a gullible resistance to the status quo.
You know, It was 57 years ago today, that thousands march for civil rights. We remember MLK speech those 57 years ago where he declared that he’s still not free in #America. But prophesied that “I have a dream”. I still have a dream, a dream deeply rooted in the American dream – one day this nation will rise up and live up to its creed, "We hold these truths to be self evident: that all men are created equal." I have a dream ...
