Jason Blake Deserves To Be Shot in the Back like a Common Criminal
#jacobblake deserves to be shot in the back and paralyzed like a common criminal. The police were justified in their actions when several heavily armed police gun down Blake who had the upper hand. It was a dangerous and violent scene and situation where people’s lives were endangered including the cops. He deserved it because he’s had multiple arrests, problems with dealing the police in the past and had several charges (no convictions mentioned) and was even arrested for being under the influence of marijuana or selling “weed”.
This is the embellished argument that those defending the police for political reasons provide. But if this is part of the justification offered by those who support this heinous crime as lawful and if this is the argument then all police attacks of black people are justified because these reasons sounds like the black reality and experience. We demonize black men. We say well they have a history. But our society create situations that give rise to the history so that you can now justify shootings. I mean lots of blacks have a history. But history is no indication of the present. But don’t tell that to people who need an excuse to
Black males are disproportionately treated as criminals, arrested for weed or are forced into a life of selling drugs to make ends meet and blacks already have bad and negative experiences of interacting with cops and have had multiple arrests so that one can say all blacks deserve to be treated as criminals.
But the police And politicians play political football. And the police, who are clearly supporting Trump’s campaign who gave a public endorsement to a man who supports their efforts to kill black people, have no intention of slowing down their attack on black voters whose support their endorsee lack. But the police should not be allowed to endorse a political candidate. This defies the institution and their duty to transcend politics and serve and protect all. When this happens then how can they be fair or impartial when that is what they are called to do. And don’t expect any meaningful consequences for this killings. If the force serves and support the President and his party, then then the force will enjoy the protection of the said President and his party.
But this is antithetical to policing and a country’s ability to hold the police accountable when theirs a deep relationship and live affair between police and party. No police or organization should be allowed to endorse any political leader as this creates some kind is patronage that interferes in their abilities to lead and carry out their duties effectively and justly with fear and trembling.
Charles Richards joined the conversation approving the killing of Blake by Police. He wrote via Facebook:
What do you expect to happen to a criminal with a violent history who refuses to comply with lawful police orders and ignores them as they order him to stop moving towards his vehicle, followed by him reaching into his vehicle?
I expect him to get shot.
I replied:
@Charles Richards, You are WRONG. He’s a criminal? Did you or anyone convict him. If he’s a criminal why is he driving a car with his kids in the back. Gun assault charge is not a conviction. When does a past “charge” or allegation justify policing using force or shooting someone in the back out of fear that it may happen. This is wrong on all fronts. Many people refuse to comply with police who have a history of corrupting the evidence and making up stories to make their lawlessness looks good. What about that. Police are not innocent and Blake is not guilty. Here you have a victim shot in the back and justify it with an assumption saying the guy has a history. Black people have a history of suffering abuse and making to look “bad”.
