People Are Now Suing Their Bosses Over COVID-19 at Work

Courts are dealing with a new type of legal question: “can an employee who contracts COVID-19 recover damages from an employer for failing to mitigate the risks of contracting the virus?” In fact the question may go even further: “can employers be held responsible for forcing their workers to work in this pandemic in unsafe conditions?”

As coronavirus infections surge in New Jersey and elsewhere, a handful of employers has been hit with litigation (Covid-19 #negligence #Lawsuits) in connection with employees who became sick, and who claim safety precautions were missing from the workplace.

Covid-19 #negligence #Lawsuits should include soul searching by logistics, transportation and moving companies such as #Flatrate #Moving that have been highly negligent, in my opinion, and irresponsible with how they have treated and required their workers to work during the covid pandemic misleading workers... telling them that they are essential services and requiring them to work and not enforcing masking and punishing employees who do not comply with their draconian policy. There’s hardly any masking and social distancing and it has terminated workers at will during this pandemic; how insensitive!
