Breaking News: “Congress on brink of deal on $900 billion relief package after resolving key dispute
"We're getting very close, very close," Schumer said as he left the Capitol, predicting the House and Senate would vote to approve the package Sunday
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's office also said a deal was in sight.
I won’t even hold my breath to see this passed. Haven’t we heard this before only to hear there’s a delay! The congress is playing with us creating mass hysteria and schizophrenia one minute saying they’re close and another minute saying they’re not due to a sticking point that has nothing to do with passing a stimulus relief bill. They keep adding pork and political issues to get more out of the bill so that it helps a strategy their side is pushing.
It was just recently that we report that a deal was in site until Sen. Pat Toomey and his Republican friends had a bright idea to attached an issue to this bill which became a sticking point that ultimately delayed and would Keillor the bill. This is evil and insensitive a strategy by the republicans to use this moment to try and get a win on a strategy from this Bill knowing that it would create some obstacles in passing the Bill and then blame Nancy Pelosi and the Dems for not wanting to agree to a or point they added last minute which is holding up the bills passage.
But after days of intense negotiations CNN politics is reporting this morning that:
“Congress on brink of deal on $900 billion relief package after resolving key dispute
But I’ll wait until the bill has actually been passed before we start to celebrate and throw high praises. As the Republicans or some other political opportunist may throw another wrench in the negotiations that may again delay and drag out the process. So let’s wait and see what will actually happen
