Africans didn’t Enslave their “Own” People and America didn’t create Slavery...
@NiggerInnis - on @Foxnaton in his rebuttal of @Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va). Who had stated That “The United States didn't inherit slavery from anybody. We created it." (https://twitter.com/thehill/status/1272944779542831106?s=21 )said on #foxnation @LauraIngraham everyone knows that Africans enslaved their own people...”
But I disagree with Nigger and those who continue to advance this misguided idea. #Africans did not enslave their “own people”. #Africa is a continent made up of tribes, clans or countries & Africans didn’t identify as black; they were clannish/nationalistic - Slavery wasn’t based on race but on clan or country. Africans didn’t see race they see clan. They didn’t see color, they saw clan. So to say Africans enslaved their own people is premature and ignorant. It presupposes that Africans are the same as African Americans and that the situations, time and contexts between the two are the same, thereby making pseudo-appeal to association and an alleged discrepancy. Africans did not enslave their “own” people’s and America did not create slavery. Each African people’s and tribes wanted “Power” and to dominate their other rival people’s like the Europeans did who competed for dominance. Tge Africans saw this as an opportunity to trade for guns to become more powerful and The Europeans saw an opportunity to exploit this obtaining slaves whom each African tribe had provided through raids.
Nevertheless slavery in Europe and the Americas was racialized. In effect, It’s not just # #race that’s at issue here. People use whatever tool to grab #power. #Discrimination comes in all forms depending on the context. It’s everywhere man it’s not just racial it’s beyond race it’s power “people”, Given the opportunity use whatever tool to maintain it.
