Congress Has Lost The Right To Keep The President “In Check”

The President of the United States of America has tremendous amount of power. As such a president’s power must be in check and balance; the constitution sets up a body - congress - responsible for keeping him or her in check. 

But it’s proving everyday that a body of the president’s peers cannot be charged with such responsibility... to prevent the president from abusing his power. 

We have a Congress that is divided and polarized so that a president can do whatever without any fear of impeachment or removal. There is no “Separation of Power”, as members of congress are in bed with the president! They cannot separate from his abrogation of the law or abuse of power. 

What we need then is an independent body of people who are not connected politically or in anyway to the president so that a president can be in check and scrutinized properly that he does not get away with abuse of power or feel unhindered to stray from what is allowed within his power. 

You see, The Constitution divided the Government into three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. That was an important decision because it gave specific powers to each branch and set up something called checks and balances. Just like the phrase sounds, the point of checks and balances was to make sure no one branch would be able to control too much power, and it created a separation of powers. 
Recently the President incited an insurrection that caused a mob to attack the capital killing 5 people. How has the Congress responded. Republicans in congress today are excusing the presidents actions pointing to protests in the past that was focused on injustice against people of color. Republicans are using this issue to justify the attack on the capital and to excuse the president from impeachment. The republicans are in the house today heightening the division and blaming the presidents and his mob actions on others as if the president and the mob are innocent of their crimes. I’m absolutely shocked and disgusted by the arguments presented by some members of Congress who are continuing to promote division and excusing tyranny. 


Two wrongs or past actions do not make ones current actions right. #GOP is in the #house right now trying to #justify the #president’s #actions by saying that the debate to punish #trump by #impeachment due to his #treasonous actions is #bull because of what the #left did! What a Disgrace!

@GOP WHAT A DISGRACE. The #Republicans are in #congress on the #housefloor defending the #Trump saying we all have sinned and fallen short & that the #left caused #trumps derangement. This debate has become about the #right calling out the #left after they were almost all killed!

When does objecting to an article of impeachment desolve into us versus them or blaming the @TheDemocrats  or others for the presidents treasonous actions to attack the legislature. When does objecting to the impeachment dilute into the @GOP blaming the #left for the past.

If you #disagree with the #ImpeachTrump for his treason then disagree #respectfully by speaking to the issue at hand rather than fueling more #division by blaming & misrepresenting the reality of #NOW! This is a #moment for the #house to #nip this action in the #bud so it never happens again. There must be #consequences and these must be harsh. The President has no idea about accountability and responsibility as he is quick to dish out #pardons yet you wanna not even consider removal after #trump tried to remove you #congress from your #house with his #mob halting your work and now the #republicans won’t even consider impeachment!

There’s no way a #leader of a country can incite an insurrection against his people’s legislature without removal & censorship! I’m embarrassed as an #american watching #congress using fallacies And #questionbeggingepithet to #apologize #trumps actions and minimize his #accountability using #psuedoappeal to #association drawing comparisons with #protests in the past decrying police injustice on #minorities..

‪By asking the #mob if #trump #incited them will #exonerate #trump 😂. This #congressman has no clue about #accountability & #responsibility. You think that #mobster is gonna #snitch on #trump. You think we only rely on the #guilty to out their #counterparts to find #guilt 


It’s callous & embarrassing to see @GOP members of Congress comparing #BLM protests with #DomesticTerrorism. It’s insulting to #GeorgeFloyd & #BlackLivesMatter  fighting for justice when you try to mix up the two issues & situations in an effort to excuse #domesticterror
@FoxNews Where were they (#RepublicanLawmakers) when #BreonnaTaylor was brutally #gunned down in her home by #police. Where were they when #GeorgeFloyd was strangled to death by a deranged police officer as his colleagues looked on... on the sidelines denouncing the BLM protesters calling for justice!

Note: #Congress passed a #halfhearted #COVIDrelief #bill which does very little to ease #Struggling Americans during this #pandemic @SpeakerPelosi & @TheDemocrats didn’t want this bill but will now support this watered down #GOP bill because we now have @JoeBiden who will go further!

Breaking: Russian military shot dead 51-year-old US Correspondent, Brent Renaud in Irpen

Kyiv Region Police Chief Andriy Nebytov said that the Russian military had shot dead 51-year-old The New York Times correspondent Brent Renaud in Irpen.  Another journalist was injured and is currently in Okhmatdyt Hospital.  According to open sources, Brent Renaud was a photojournalist and director, making many documentaries with his brother.  The publication itself has not yet confirmed the death of its correspondent. President Zelenskyy of Ukraine submitted an update regarding the War: The main points of his message in the video: 1. He calls for a “NO—FLY—ZONE” in the region, and stated that 74 percent of Americans support the no-fly-zone. Yet we have not approved the request, a decision that will help significantly, Ukraine’s advantage in the war.  2. The Armed forces of Ukraine hold all areas of defence and are counterattacking Russian invaders near: Kharkiv, and holding the line in Maykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv region, Sumy region and Dobas.  3.
