COVID-19 Is Prompting “Wealthy” People to Move Out of Cities. Thereby putting a wrench into gentrification plans and processes that are already in motion. Real Estate prices and cost of living were spiking in cities and towns such as Philadelphia, NYC (especially Harlem), San Francisco-Oakland, Denver, Boston, Miami-Fort Lauderdale and New Orleans, prior to the pandemic, affecting black and brown or low-income families who were being displaced or moved to rural areas.  The gentrification in the 2010s was related to job growth and transit. The impact of globalization on the human bodies which are integral to the global economy is grossly understated and overstated because of their ‘invisibility’ which is necessary for profit. This invisibility seems like a fairy-tale story, thus blending fact with fantasy. However, this is strangely true. The global human eyes are blind to some of the most intricate and inhumane realities of this post-modern world. (Thomas Kane, @thomaskaine) This is not shocking, as the  stock market is created to “mop up liquidity” and to maintain and extend wealth for those at the top; via an elaborate transfer scheme or “game” where small investors monies are funneled to big capital investors or the really rich. In other words will I make money from this project and if it’s really good an innovation the question is how can I make money? Will it sell? What do I need to do to sell it so that people want or buy into it. You have to think about creating that psychology of need in people’s mind about an innovative thing less you create something and abandon too soon thinking that it’s a failure when it’s the marketing that’s a failure.
