Grade Point Average (GPA) Should Include Paid or Free Courses with the Same Amount of Effort and Learning

Question: Why do some universities offer elective courses called SOPHIA where completing them doesn't affect a student's GPA, only their overall credits? This seems unfair and like a money-making scheme for schools that are supposed to be nonprofit. The Department of Education may need to investigate colleges like Capella University. Universities should rethink their policies on grading for courses that require the same effort and learning, regardless of whether they're paid or free.
