Grade Point Average (GPA) Should Include Paid or Free Courses with the Same Amount of Effort and Learning

Image
Question : Why do some universities offer elective courses called SOPHIA where completing them doesn't affect a student's GPA, only their overall credits? This seems unfair and like a money-making scheme for schools that are supposed to be nonprofit. The Department of Education may need to investigate colleges like Capella University. Universities should rethink their policies on grading for courses that require the same effort and learning, regardless of whether they're paid or free. Apparently, the blackout had stemmed from a hack that Meta, and Facebook, and Instagram systems had detected and initiated a #shutdown to prevent any #security breach which was a good thing and a necessary mechanism. Part of #SPAM and #cybersecurity involves detection and prevention so the system will even shut down temporarily to stop hackers from intruding. However, the fact that this keeps happening means that FACEBOOK is always under attack from #hackers trying to get onto its system. Image
#BlackHistoryMonth ...We've always looked down upon #afrocaribbean beliefs in my upbringing in the #caribbean . Even within #christendom there is this privilege. As a #postcolonialist , I am against #privilege . The #Caribbean as an invention has inherited certain traditions, one of privilege which continues in various forms today and engrained in the Caribbean mind; so that we have come to disdain our own "things" or "stuff". Listen to my esoteric lecture providing a #criticalanalysis on changing attitudes towards Afro-Caribbean Beliefs. Part 2 Lecture 3 #caribbeanthought This is part 2 of Lecture 3 in Caribbean Thought at the Jamaica Theological Seminary, delivered by Renaldo McKenzie on January 26, 2024. Renaldo continues to review the course outline, themes, and assertions of Caribbean Thought. We will pick up from where we left off in part 1 of Lecture 3. #questions : Do #parenting & society’s use of problematic #philosophy & bad theology prevent personal growth & perpetuate resentment/estrangement in kids as they grow up to be adults? #postcolonialism provided new #freedoms met with, #dogmas , rules and the #bureacraticphenomenon (the #irony of #independence ).
