Film Review: Captain America: A Brave New World
Last night, I watched Captain America: Brave New World , and I have mixed feelings about it. As a superhero action movie, I would rate it a 5/10 —it leaned far more into drama than action, and when action sequences did appear, they often felt contrived, almost as if I were watching a simulation rather than an organic, high-stakes battle. The lack of thrilling, immersive action sequences left a lot to be desired, especially for those expecting the high-energy spectacle characteristic of Marvel films. That being said, Brave New World does what many superhero films fail to do—it integrates its action sequences seamlessly into the storyline rather than forcing them in for mere visual appeal. Unlike other films in the genre where action can feel botched or abrupt, the sequences in Captain America were well-woven into the narrative.
