  #BlackHistoryMonth ...We've always looked down upon #afrocaribbean beliefs in my upbringing in the #caribbean . Even within #christendom there is this privilege. As a #postcolonialist , I am against #privilege . The #Caribbean as an invention has inherited certain traditions, one of privilege which continues in various forms today and engrained in the Caribbean mind; so that we have come to disdain our own "things" or "stuff".
